Cupcakes in a Jar DIY
This last week I helped my SIL put together cupcake mixes in jars for her daughter's (my niece's) first birthday party. It was actually a lot of fun to make! All you need to make some as cute as hers are: Mason jars, a cupcake recipe, recipe's dry ingredients, ribbon, cute little home-made tags, and material for the tops is optional. Just put all dry ingredients into jars in layers, put the lids on and tie the ribbon with the tags(recipe). Easy enough! xo -Liz

This Weekend's Finds
This last weekend I went out to go to one single yard sale that was advertised on Craig's List. While out looking for it though I couldn't resist a few others! I found some pretty cute things. A vintage stuffed Henry dog, and a step stool a lot like the one I had when I was little, but this one's in a lot better condition. Everett has been using an old highchair that I found in the trash (don't worry I don't dumpster dive) that's a 1950's Cosco brand, it works, but it still needs work, so I bought a vintage one that I'm guessing is from the 60's or 70's. It's in nice shape and was a great price, so of course I didn't resist. I also found a few vintage puzzles. The vintage kids table and chair set my mom actually bought, but it's SO cute and the little bear already loves sitting on them!
What about you, what kind of vintage goodies have you found recently? I'd love to hear from you, as always! xo -Liz

Little Cupcake
As you know, my little niece's first birthday was this last weekend and it turned out so cute and fun, like I knew it would! The theme was cupcakes and it was perfect! My SIL, LaRae, is always so good at throwing parties. She had home made cup cake mixes in a jar for party favors, and a cupcake bar with all the cupcake toppings! SO yummy!!

Ashlyn & Nathan
As you probably know, if you've been reading the past few days, I mentioned attending my friend Ashlyn's wedding. It was magnificent! The colors, details, designs, food, people, and live music were all amazing! I was in such a hurry to get the little bear and I ready though that I sadly for got my camera(that's no new news) but I'm pretty sad that I didn't have it to better capture the occasion. So here are some bad, but fun ones from my phone. Oh! I forgot to mention one of the best things about this wedding was the photo booth! SO MUCH FUN!
Love you Ashlyn and Nathan and I wish the best for you as you start this long journey together! xo -Liz

Life this week (according to cellphone pictures) #9
Another crazy, busy week, but defiantly a fun one! There was so much going on this week, but I'm glad it kept me busy. My sister got a job in Dallas and I'm SO happy for them that everything's working out pretty well! My brother officially adopted Isaiah as his own which is SO awesome. I'm so lucky to have such a loving brother and amazing little nephew and SIL. They are all certainly God sent! We had a little party to celebrate that day! I also enjoyed my friend Ashlyn's beautiful wedding and my little niece Shlyla's first birthday!

Old Into New
If you know anything about me you might now that I have a great love for vintage ANYTHING, thrifting, and unique clothing. Who doesn't love finding treasures that were once something old, used, or trash to someone else! (Speaking of vintage, I'm so excited to show you some of my recent vintage goodies that might be going up on my Etsy soon! YAY!) And I really love it when I can incorporate used or vintage pieces into my everyday outfits.
Above: The skirt was waaay in the back of my closet, shirt and belt were thrifted!
What kind of old, used stuff do you treasure? What's your favorite "old" item you own? I'd love to hear from you, as always! xo
Also a VERY special shout out to a VERY special girl who turned one! We're celebrating my little niece's first birthday today and I can't wait to see all the cute things my SIL has put together for this party! It's gonna be great! I just can't believe its already been a year!

Business Time
I thought I would drop a little note to tell ya'll that I finally ordered some business cards for Red Rabbit! I really like how they turned out, and the finished project should look pretty good. I ordered them form Moo and the price was actually cheaper than doing it with the cheaper(not as good quality) companies. They're having a birthday sale right now, so if you need anything like that now's you're chance!
On another note my friend is getting married today and I'm SO excited for her! She is going to be the prettiest bride ever! I will be sure to take lots of photos and tissues! xo

Blogging...
No matter how silly people may take blogging as, we are all involved in it. Even you are involved for simply clicking on whatever it was to be reading this post right now. We all somehow partake in the blogosphere. A blog is a sort of online journal to share things. I'm sure we all have taken part in some sort of journaling too wether it be documenting our meals, our loves, our wants, our inspirations, or our to-do's.
I have piles of composition books from all my years of journaling. The note books filled with so much of my life's ups, downs, heart breaks, break downs, goals, and victories have been pushed aside for newer different way of doing things. The difference I think now is more positive, more beauty, more love and more documenting. And the best part of this blogosphere is finding like-minded people. People who share their dreams, loves, creativity, art, recipes, writing, crafts, photography and so on. People that continue to inspire each other every day.
Having this little corner of the internet has helped my in so many areas. It's a release of creativity. It gives me a creative avenue in which I wouldn't otherwise have as a stay-at-home-mom. To have things pop inside my mind and then be able to share them is such an awesome thing. it gives me a sense of contributing, a sense of purpose outside of my day to day work, as a mom, and it gives me a reason to keep wheels turning inside my head. It keeps me sharp, it's made me a better communicator. With all the design/fashion blogs I read it's even made my world a little bit prettier. Its given me a place for all of the weird, obsessively documenting parts of myself a home, its given me a place to share the never ending line of thoughts twirling in my head. Most of all though, this space has eternally let me keep some of the happiest moments of my life. I can always come back here when life seems to be a little down and remember so many good things.
What about you? What is blogging to you? What do you journal or document? I'd really love to hear from you, as always! xo

Scarves!
I've been kinda liking the fancy scarves lately. They're great for when you want to add a little something extra. I found some really unique ones at an antique store for $1 and I'm kinda loving them especially when you're having an extra bad hair day.
Please don't mind the messy room. It's hard when you have three people living in one room and one of them is an extra crazy/messy baby. Trust me, it has NOTHING to do with being a little slacker! (HA).

Style: mama/baby
I've noticed a lot of blogs lately sharing some of their favorite fall outfits. I'm loving a lot of them and decided to do one too, but instead of an outfit just for me, I'd like to incorporate something for baby too this fall. Don't you love fall colors? xo
Gross & Freaky Randomness
I know you probably didn't want to see that, but my husband has to stick it in my face almost everyday! And even pick at it when we're watching a movie or something until I think about it so much that I have to yell at him to stop. I guess men feel manly when they have really bad wounds. He even took the picture- to remember, I guess
So now that I've grossed you out, let me freak you out. I saw this amazing, huge spider and although he was creeping me out a little he begged me for a photo shoot and.... maybe some ants too haha. I love watching them eat! Anyway I have no idea what kind of beast it is, but it was tragically killed later with a can of parts cleaner :'( Not my doing, but I also didn't want the little bear to somehow get involved with it later.
P.S. Sorry for the randomness! xo
