Resolutions
Usually I try to make a list every year with things on it that I'd like to do before the next year. All of it never gets done but it's such a great feeling to be able to cross something off your list once it does finally get done!
A special Happy Birthday to my amazing brother today! He's such a grown up man now, but I'll always remember the goofy chubby cheeked kid from when we were children. I love you!

New Year's Resolutions: A Better You V.1
This picture really inspired my new year's resolutions this year. I'm sure everyone has some resolutions every year to basically just be a healthier, better person. Well, I'm starting a new little series for this new year with tips on how to be a little more healthy. I'm excited and motivated for this new year, and I hope you are too!
New Year's Resolution #1: More Green Drinks
Drink 1: Green Juice
I try to juice almost every day, but a lot a weeks just feel too lazy. It's kinda like going to the gym. You never really feel like doing it, but are so glad you did after wards. Vegetable juicing has so many benefits that I can't even list them all. Juicing fresh is the best way to get all those fresh enzymes and nutrition into your body fast and easy without having to eat like ten big salads!
Detoxing juice:
Dink 2: Green Smoothie
If you have kids that aren't so found of the green juice, or if you yourself don't care for it much there's a delicious solution. This recipe I found called for one to two bananas, but I used a tiny bit of natural yogurt this time instead.
I hope you enjoyed and are as motivated as I am to start your new year off right! I'll be back soon with more tips for you! Enjoy! xo -Liz

Detoxing juice:
- one bunch of celery
- about 3 cups cabbage
- one cucumber
- one lemon
- about 5 handfulls spinach

- two large spoon full's of yogurt (or 1-2 bananas)
- two large hand full's of spinach
- two cups of frozen fruit
- some water for blending
Drink 3: Green Tea
You have most likely heard many benefits of green tea. The list of benefits is LONG! There are many like curing the common cold, prevent tooth decay, treating MS and cencer, and is used to raise the metabolism and increase fat oxidation. It's also the easiest green drink to make! All you need is hot water, green tea bag(and I like a little honey).

Bits of Our Christmas
With my side of the family this year, we opened gifts from each other on Christmas eve. Everett was really tired, but he got through all his gifts like a champ. The next morning we spent with the little man opening gifts from us to him.

Life this week (according to cell phone pictures) #21
Such a good and busy week, as I'm sure it was for you too. We had such a blessed Christmas this year with our amazing families. I'll be sharing more about our Christmas a little later. I kept so busy trying to get everything made and wrapped before Christmas, but it all came together great and even though it's stressful at times, I think we're going to stick with the hand made rule again for next year, just because Christmas felt much more special this year spending more time and less money(sometimes) on everyone.
My good friend Kasandra is leaving today so we hung out with her till late last night. I love her so much and I'll miss laughing with her until my sides hurt and goofing off until the wee hours of the night. I hope your week was blessed and willed with loved ones! xo -Liz

A Few Things Lately
First off, I'm sorry for the cricket sounds over here. I have been so busy, I haven't even been able to touch the computer. This year, my side of the family has a rule to make each other gifts, so I've been trying to catch up on that and between wrapping, getting together with family and some birthday's i've had few minutes to spare.
My good friend Jen's birthday was at Angelo's and it was so nice. I really forgot how relaxing painting is.
For my sissy's birthday this year we had an ugly sweater/vinyl party and it was a lot of fun! One of my favorite parts was getting to see my good friend Kasandra finally! She's back for a very short Christmas break, but it is SO great to have her back for a short time!
Yesterday we got together with David's side and some friends to unwrap gifts and play kinect. It was a lot of fun. And it's so neat this year to see Everett actually get involved and excited about unwrapping presents!

Snow Globe DIY
This is such a fun little craft during Christmas and it's probably my favorite too!
What you'll need:
- Clean, white egg shells
- Baby food jar (or another globe-like jar works)
- Distilled water
- liquid glycerin
- Silicone glue
- a figurine that won't rust
- glitter (optional)
- craft foam (optional)
1. Grind or chop your egg shells. I just used a chopper. You'll need less than one egg shell per jar (depending on how much snow you like).
2. glue your figurine the the bottom of your lid. We used foam to give the figurines a little boost and because a few of them were formally plant decorations, we could just stick them into the foam. Let everything dry.
3. Fill your jar with some water and a little glycerine and stir it up well. You can test how much more glycerine to water you want by putting some "snow" in your jar and watching how fast they fall. Finish filling up your jar with snow, water, glycerine (and sparkles if desired), but leave a little room for your figurine.
4. Glue around the top of your jar with silicone just before screwing on your lid.
5. Enjoy!
