Movie Poster Fetish

I've had a huge retro drawn movie poster fetish for... forever, I guess. I just can't get over the way they look. They send out so much vibrancy and mystery all at once. My husband laughs at me, because when I used to have my own computer I would constantly be changing the background to different hand drawn movie posters... usually of a giant, ugly creature carrying off a desperate woman in torn clothing. I can't quite put my finger on what I like so much about them. You can laugh if you want... or you can take a quick peek at some of these more popular posters and you just might agree!

One of my favorite classics!

And of course can't forget

Rachel's Bridal Shower!

I'm so excited to finally share a few photos from Rachel's bridal shower. It really turned out great, and was so much fun!

"How Well Do You Know The Bride and Groom" quiz

We brought out the projector at dark to watch a little super 8 film, cuddled up in blankets, ate popcorn and giggled late into the night.

Life This Week(according to cellphone pictures) #40

Introduced to headphones and hooked, A yummy salad at Dream Cafe with the fam, Yay for down town water fountains, my G-Pa showing me how to burn wood grain, wearing my 50 cent shirt, can't stop painting my nails red, a thrifted afghan that makes me smile, My handmade chalkboard for Jacob and Rachel, hand made Bunting, 1:30 in the morning and finally getting ready to head home after another long day.

It's been such a rough week. I really appreciate all of the prayers and concerns for my Father-in-law. He has so many that truly care for him, it amazes me. I think all we can do now is to just pray, pray, pray.

Destruction Zone

It's been a long, dirty, and rough week. I feel like every once in a while that we got in over our heads with some of the stuff we decided to do on the house before we move in. It gets really discouraging at times too, but I've had a little better spirits about it lately. Things were going really slow at first, but with a little advice and encouragement, we're on our way to getting everything done. The husby and I have been staying up way too  late every night trying to get as much done as we can while he's off in the evenings and the babe is in bed. I'm pretty terrible at any kind of hard labor, because I really haven't had time(more didn't want) to work out and gain muscles these past couple years, but I feel like working on the house is one of the best workouts I've had in years!

Rachel's bridal shower is tonight so I'm pretty excited to be able to take a break from the destruction tonight and enjoy some pretty things! I hope you're having a lovely weekend as well. xo -Liz

Reel Day

Today when I was getting something for a project from my Grandpa, my grandma sent me home with a big box of old projectors and film to try and get working. Of course, I was so excited about it I skipped my original project today and ended up spending most of my day playing with projectors. I've never been able to watch old 88mm film in real life before! It was such a treat for me. I can't wait to use these more.

Currently

Obsessing over… Hummus. I've always liked hummus, but lately I've been on a hummus spree. There are so many different kinds out there and I think, I might be, on a mission to try all of them.

Working on… As I write this I'm listening to potential music to play at the Goakes wedding. Its been a slow process but I've been creating a long playlist and for it. Hopefully it will all be good with Rachel, but she's so chill(love her) I'm not too worried about it.

Thinking about…  I'm so overwhelmed by the work we decided to do on our house before we move in. David's so busy most week day evenings, so I'm gonna try and get as much done as I can without him. It's pretty nice that we don't have a due date to get out of where we live now, but I'm too anxious to wait for the husby to finally get some free time to work. I'm not very strong(at all) or have as much experience at construction as him, but I feel like slowly doing something is better than nothing at all!

Anticipating… This weekend. My sissy and I are planning Rachel's bridal shower, and I'm super excited about it. We have some good party ideas this time around (thanks mostly via. Pintrest). It's going to be so lovely and I hope we can make it so special for her!

Listening to… Like I mentioned above, I've been listening to A LOT of music to create a playlist for the wedding, but this song is probably what inspires the playlist the most:

Eating… Well Hummus of course.... With Sugar snap peas. So, so good. Right now I'm eating Sabra classic hummus, because it was on sale and I had never tried it before, but I can't stop eating it. My kid is downing green veggies right now just because he can dip it in hummus!

Wishing… That I could take my Mom's giant kitchen full of amazing kitchen stuff with me when we move. She has so much cooking and baking gadgets and gizmos that I'm not going to know what to do once I start having to use all my own stuff!
